How to Play Aviator Step by Step

Aviator, also known as Pounce, is a fast-paced card game that is both challenging and entertaining. The game is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards and can be enjoyed by 2 or more players. In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide on how to play Aviator.

1. Setup

To begin playing Aviator, shuffle the deck of cards thoroughly and deal out the entire deck face-down evenly amongst the players. Each player should have their own stack of cards in front of them. The remaining deck will be used as the draw pile.

2. Objective

The objective of Aviator is to be the first player to get rid of all the cards in your stack by playing them onto the center piles. The player who successfully plays all their cards first wins the game.

3. Gameplay

– The player to the left of the dealer will start the game by flipping over the top card of their stack and placing it face-up in the center of the playing area. This card will be the first card of the center pile. – The next player will then take their turn by playing a card from their stack onto the center pile. The card played must either be one rank higher or one rank lower than the card on top of the center pile. For example, if the top card on the center pile is a 7, the next player can play a 6 or an 8. – If a player cannot play a card from their stack, they must draw a card from the draw pile. If the drawn card can be played, they must play it immediately. If not, their turn is over. – Play continues in this manner until one player successfully gets rid of all their cards.

4. Special Cards

– Jokers: Jokers are wild cards and can be played on any card in the center pile. They allow the player to choose the rank of the next card played. – Aces: Aces are special cards that can be played on both King and 2. This creates a loop Aviator where the next card can be either Queen or 3.

5. Winning the Game

The game of Aviator continues until one player successfully plays all the cards in their stack onto the center piles. That player is declared the winner of the game.

In conclusion, Aviator is a fun and challenging card game that requires skill, strategy, and quick thinking. By following the rules and steps outlined in this article, you can easily learn how to play Aviator and enjoy hours of entertainment with your friends and family.
